Gentle, quiet Anna was very special.  When she was born, she wasn't breathing and had to be revived. As a result, she suffered slight brain damage. She would never be a show dog even though she was a beautiful Boxer girl!

As a little puppy, Anna stole my then 11 year old son's heart and so she became my his faithful friend and very spoiled companion. Anna slept in bed with him every night until he went off to college and, when ever he would come home for a visit, she would be very excited to see him and loved having the chance to snuggle up to him at night again! Never did she greet anyone the way she greeted my son, there was no doubt she knew he was her boy!

Anna spent more than 10 wonderful years in our home and as a loved member of our family. She was a gentle, quiet boxer and enjoyed more than anything else to laze in her favorite chair or in front of our wood stove in the winter. In the fall of 2006, Anna developed Degenerative Myelopathy. Sadly, the time eventually and too soon came where it was only fair to let her go. My son came home from college the weekend prior to say his goodbyes to his baby girl and Anna slept in bed with him one last time.

We miss you Anna, truly you touched our lives and our hearts with your sweet nature and your tender innocence - it is no wonder that everyone who had the chance to meet you always fell in love with you...
